There's a busy day in store with no less than six meetings taking place with flat cards from Doncaster, Newbury and Wolverhampton, while there are also National Hunt fixtures at Aintree, Chepstow and Stratford.  There is some very good prize money on offer at Aintree and Chepstow and the stable has two runners at the Welsh track with Vieux Lion Rouge(pictured above) taking in the Silver Trophy handicap hurdle and Poole Master competing in the handicap chase.  Both races have in excess of £20,000 to the winner so unsurprisingly they are extremely competitive - I thought they both had each way squeaks in tough races.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with three on the level from Doncaster, Newbury and Wolverhampton as well as a National Hunt fixture from Fakenham.  As per usual the jumps card offers twice as much prize money as the all-weather card from Wolverhampton but more surprisingly, £12,000 more than Newbury which is supposed to be a Grade One flat and jumps track.  The stable has one runner at Fakenham, Broadway Buffalo (pictured above) who participates in the novices' chase.  A clear round of jumping is the obvious priority, although if he performs anywhere near his hurdle mark of 141 he would be very difficult to beat.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with three jumps cards from Ludlow, Carlisle and Southwell as well as a flat card from Kempton.  The stable has one runner at Southwell, Susie Sheep (pictured above) who goes in the bumper at 4.40pm.  The filly has had one run in a point-to-point which she won comfortably by 36 lengths on good/soft ground.  The one imponderable is this quicker ground although there is no reason to think that she should not handle it and she looks like a nice filly to have in the stable.  Tom Scudamore is in the saddle.  Talking of ground, how is it that Ludlow seem to have managed to avoid all of the rain that we have endured over the last few days?  The official going is currently a barely believable good (good/firm in places).

Today we have four meetings to look forward to with two fixtures on the level at Newmmarket and Kempton as well as jumps action from Fontwell and Worcester.  Although the stable does not have any runners today, stable jockey Tom Scudamore has a decent book of seven rides at Worcester and looks to have some particularly good chances for Rebecca Curtis.  We had three runners at Exeter and while we drew a blank, I thought that Houston Dynimo ran another solid race to finish in the prize money once again on ground that would have been plenty soft enough for him.  It was a poor day for punters at the Devon track yesterday as there was not a single obliging favourite on their seven race card.

This afternoon there are four meetings taking place with three of them on the flat at Wolverhampton, Lingfield and Kempton as well as a National Hunt fixture from our local track at Exeter.  The stable has three runners at the track today; Moncarno, Houston Dynimo and Kalifourchon and first of all I should congratulate Exeter on having the most prize money on offer at any of the fixtures this afternoon.  Houston Dynimo (pictured above) carries top weight of 11-12 in the handicap chase and the nine year old has been a revelation since joining the yard, winning over hurdles and finishing placed in two Listed chases.  Conditional jockey Kieron Edgar claims a handy 5lbs off his back today and it will be interesting to see how he handles this softer ground.  Whatever happens, he owes us nothing as he has already proven to be an inspired claim by David.

It was another great weekend for the yard with David unleashing a couple of extremely promising individuals.  Moon Racer absolutely bolted up in what is traditionally a very competitive bumper at Cheltenham's first meeting of the season and David now has to decide whether to keep him to bumpers or run him over hurdles - a very nice problem to have!  At Kempton on Sunday Stars Over The Sea won with any amount in hand on his hurdling debut - his jumping will improve with experience and he looks sure to take very high rank among this season's juveniles.  All in all I would say that David would be very pleased with his weekend's work!
