Today we have three meetings taking place with two over the sticks at Doncaster and Fakenham as well as an all-weather flat card from Southwell.  Southwell should hand their head in shame - they have an eight race card worth a total of £28,000.  I'm not sure if that is a record low?  I know you don't expect to find the greatest flat racing in the world on the all-weather at Southwell on a Tuesday afternoon but that really does take the biscuit...even more surprising is the number of runners they have.  If I were a trainer I would be considering boycotting meetings like this where the prize money on offer is almost insulting to the owners.  The stable has no runners today so Tom Scu heads north to Doncaster for just one ride - you know what they say about jockeys with one ride at a meeting.  I don't know who says it, but it is a rubbish saying as far as I am concerned!

The low sun at Cheltenham caused plenty of problems last week.  As far as I can tell, at this time of year all they have to do is start racing a bit earlier.  That way they will not be finishing in the dark either...another problem solved!

Tom Queally certainly looked unlucky.  He went sleepwalking, got in his car and drove five miles before being stopped by police and breathalyzed.  It's something we all do!  Even top lawyer Nick Freeman (nicknamed Mr Loophole) couldn't get him off.

You wouldn't be too happy if you backed 25/1 Wolverhampton winner Order Of Service on the Tote.  The return was an anorexic £14.90 - I have never been very keen on betting on the Tote.  There have been some poor dividends about big price horses of late.  Personally, I always like to know what price I am getting.

England take on Scotland in an international friendly, although as far as I can tell no game with the Scots is a friendly!  It might as well be the World Cup Final because neither of these two sides are going to get to the latter stages of a major competition.  I might have a little double about Ireland at 7/5 to beat USA and 5/4 about England.  I hope we get a result otherwise I am sure to be hearing from our Scottish contingent of owners!

I was disgusted(!) to see the former Playboy star take off her shorts in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!  I have voted for Kendra to do an underwater challenge - hopefully she will forget her swimsuit!

I see that a crook who was nicked for using stolen cheques tried to pay his bail money with one in Florida...he was bounced straight off to jail!  Have a nice day...
