There are only a couple of meetings taking place this afternoon at Carlisle and Huntingdon.  The stable has one runner, Seattle Drive, ridden by Tom Scudamore in the two mile claiming hurdle at 1.45pm.  I always take a keen interest in the claimers on the flat and it may be just me looking back through rose tinted spectacles, but the claiming races these days do not look up to the standard they were in the past.  Do you remember when we claimed Make A Stand from a Leicester claimer?  I'm sure you wouldn't be able to pick up a Champion Hurdle winner from a claimer these days!  Anyway, I digress!  Carlisle have two £25,000 races on their card today, so well done to them on an excellent effort.  A P McCoy has five rides booked in his quest to reach 4,000 winners!

Why are the BHA taking so long over the licence application of Graham Bradley?  It has now been six months!  I know Brad has been a bit of a lad down the years, but remember it only took them five days to ban Mahmood Al Zarooni for eight years!  As far as I can tell, he has done his time...give him a chance.

What a local derby today between Cardiff and Swansea.  That would be a good game to watch, especially if you could understand what the fans were chanting!  The match kicks off at 4pm.  There is also an exciting match to look forward to between Everton and Tottenham Hotspur - it should be an open game as both sides seem to have a suspect defence.

I know I keep on about it, but how does Sepp Blatter keep his job at FIFA?  He must have made more mistakes than any other person in charge of such a large organisation.  Surely he is past his sell-by date?  The problem is that he will never give up (and to be fair, who would?), but it is about time he was given a good push!
