                    Diamonds Return

Diamonds Return runs again today at Bangor after winning at Uttoxeter two days ago.  The step up to three miles seemed to bring about improvement as he went from last to first in that race and he runs here with a seven pound penalty before the handicapper has his say.  Conor rides him for his father and he gave him a peach of a ride.  This is a slightly better race but he seems to have come out of the Uttoxeter race really well which is why we have decided to run him again.  A similar level of form should see him go well this afternoon.  As well as the one jumps meeting there are three on the flat today.  There is racing at Doncaster, Sandown and Wolverhampton.

Looking back at yesterday's action it looks like they landed a bit of a touch with Rossetti in the jump jockeys derby at Epsom.  He returned 12/1 having been backed in from 20/1.  Jamie Moore was on board for father Gary.  Jamie used to work at our yard in his younger days, he has a right London accent, I even had trouble understanding him!  He is a good lad and always smiling!  Meanwhile up at Doncaster the £300,000 Weatherbys sales race was won by 100/1 chance Morning Post.  You could say it was a first class buy by Kevin Ryan!

I love Paolo Di Canio.  What a turnout at St James' Park.  50,000 people were there for Steve Harrods testimonial.  Di Canio was booed onto the pitch and booed every time he touched the ball!  He responded by blowing kisses to all four sides of the stadium.  I thought he might struggle being the boss of Sunderland but he is a great character and we would have him back at Upton Park, or at least I would!

I see that Gareth bale has got straight into Spanish life.  He had ham egg and chips after his first training session - he might end up a Welsh Rabbit!
