We landed back on British soil yesterday afternoon and it is a busy day for the yard today with no less than five runners at Newton Abbot for the second and final day of their valuable late summer fixture.  Decoy, Street Entertainer (pictured above) and My Brother Sylvest take in the feature race at 3.20pm - a race that the stable have won a couple of times in recent years with Raslan.  It is a competitive race as you would expect for the money with a couple of Jonjo's coming here on a roll, but all three of ours appear to have chances.

Basily Fawlty and Bathwick Man complete our nap hand of runners.  The latter went very close to winning from this mark at Bangor on Monday and looks to have sound prospects providing the race doesn't come too soon.  There is also a card on the level at the seaside town of Brighton.

As well as the action on these shores there is also a good card at the Curragh featuring a couple of Group Three races and a fascinating Group One contest for two year olds.  Kiyoshi looked very good when winning at Royal Ascot (form that has been franked time and again since) and she faces an unbeaten Aidan O'Brien trained rival in Tapestry.

As I eluded to yesterday - with matches between Arsenal and Spurs as well as Liverpool and Manchester United you know exactly where I will be...a day in front of the television watching football and racing is just about my idea of heaven!
