Today we have just two meetings, a flat card at Pontefract plus a jumps meeting at Southwell.  David has two runners at Southwell, High Ville and Keep the Cash.  Conor O'Farrell keeps the ride on High Ville after winning on him twice already this season.  Our seven year old has some fair form figures and ran okay last time and providing he does not pull too hard early on he should run okay.  Keep the Cash is having his first start since May.  Tom Scu rides and he does have bits an pieces of form that would give him a chance in this race.

In the football it will be interesting to see how Hull get on at Chelsea.  Normally when these promoted teams come up they do well at the start of the season but they will find it tough at Stamford Bridge.  Chelsea are best priced 9/2 on and it is hard to see them getting beat.  There is also the London derby of Crystal Palace versus Spurs.  Spurs are 8/11 and it could be a hard Sunday afternoon for the newcomers!

I see from the racing results that trainer Alan Bailey trained his first winner at Nottingham for almost 10 years,  I think if I was Alan I would have given that course a wide birth, 10 years is a long time to wait for your next winner but well done to him!

I also see that Suarez has apologised to Liverpool and returned to first team traininig.  I think I would have left him training with the colts or the reserves, surely he can only disrupt the team?  He wants away so make him train away at least for the first six matches which he is banned for anyway!

In tennis, Jimmy Connors only lasted one match as Maria Sharapova's coach.  She lost in the second round of the Cincinnati masters so he got the sack!  Maria looks so sweet and like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth but obviously not!  Have a nice day.
