               Diamonds Return

Today there are five meetings, two over the sticks at Taunton and Sedgefield and flat cards at Redcar, Lingfield and Chepstow.  David does not have any runners today but it is great to have some nice sunshine st Pond House.  We do have one runner on the flat at Chepstow tomorrow.  Diamond's Return runs with Martin Harley on board.  He was David's first winner of the 2012/13 jumps season at Exeter (photo above) and ig going to be mixing the flat and jumping this summer.  Looking back at yesterday's action, I thought Estimate looked better than a Group 3 performer.  She stayed on strongly and won well.  She is a big price for the Ascot Gold Cup next month and it maybe worth taking an early price about her.  It looks like the 2 1/2 miles trip will be okay and I see no reason that she won't give you a good run for your money.  Another from yesterday's action who looks like he could be ahead of the handicapper is the Luca Cumani trained colt, Rockalong.  He only won by 1/2 length so the handicapper should not be too hard on the four year old and is one to look out for next time.

Why are there so many people out of work?  In today's Racing Post, top yards Paul Nicholls and Alan King are advertising for stable staff.  There is also a stud in Wiltshire that require a groom so if you are interested in horses and can ride there are jobs for you!

I also see in paper that they are selling number plates, including 'H5RSY' for £2,000.  I suppose it spells horsy?!  Macmillan Cancer support are selling the plates FRANK 11 KEE, FRANKELO2, FRANKEL !!, FRAN13KEL and FRANKEL06.  These are all in a very good cause so if you are interested phone Ray Morris on 01623 794411.

I see Ronnie O'Sullivan is going to quit snooker after thie years World Championship.  He is only playing to pay his kids school fees!  Ronnie is a law unto himself but a great snooker player.  I saw him play in Taunton a few years ago, MCP even played that night!
