There is some good racing to look forward to this afternoon with three jumps meetings taking place at Warwick, Kempton and Wetherby as well as an all-weather flat card at Lingfield.  The stable has runners at Warwick (Starlife, Battle Group, The Package and El Lobo) as well as at Wetherby (Poole Master and Shotavodka).  It is good to see Timmy Murphy back from injury and he takes the mount aboard The Package (pictured above) at Warwick.  Conor O'Farrell rides the remainder of our runners at the meeting, while stable jockey Tom Scudamore has elected to travel up north again (there's a surprise!) for our Wetherby runners.

I have to say that given that it is a Saturday fixture, the prize money at Wetherby is surprisingly poor with a total fund of £51,000 up for grabs for the winners of the seven races, while the meetings at Warwick and Kempton both have over £100,000 in prize money.  A particular well done should go to Warwick who have managed to secure funds in excess £142,000...a very good effort.

There is a good reason to pick up a copy of The Sun today (other than for page 3)!  It includes an excellent article by Claude Duval in the racing supplement about David Johnson.  David is currently undergoing treatment for stomach cancer - DJ is a real Essex lad who tells it as he sees it.  To his eternal credit he is also a fanatical West Ham supporter.  I particularly enjoyed the story about loud-mouthed bookmaker Barry Dennis - he says that he finally managed to persuade him that Chablis is better than Liebfraumilch!  I have 58 messages on my phone and they are all jokes from DJ and I often use them, although not all in front of the ladies!

I said yesterday that I thought that A P McCoy would have a good day at Huntingdon and I was proved right (for a change!) with the champion jockey booting home a short-priced treble to take his seasonal total onto 143.

I will be having a little go on the football today and fancy a treble courtesy of Cardiff at 7/10, Hull at 4/6 and Rotherham at 8/15...have a nice weekend!
