Today there are four meetings taking place - two on the flat at Newmarket and Kemton as well as jumps fixtures at Fontwell and Worcester.  The stable has one runner at Worcester where the ground is currently described as good/soft - Businessmoney Judi (pictured above) takes in the 2m4f mares' handicap hurdle at 5.30pm.  Tom Scudamore is in the saddle.

I thought that Basil Fawlty ran a promising first race for the stable yesterday at Exeter when finishing fourth in a hot looking novices' hurdle and can hopefully build on this effort.

There was a real gamble landed at Lingfield yesterday afternoon as a two year old colt named Veeraya was backed from an early price of 14/1 down to 9/2.  Sure enough, he won with a bit in hand and looks to be one to keep on the right side of.  Connections obviously realised they had an above average type on their hands and he was backed accordingly.

Manchester United came back from 2-0 down to beat Braga 3-2 at home last night in the Champion's League.  It was a good performance to come back from that sort of deficit but United's defence looks to be very shaky.  I keep saying it, but Sir Alex desperately needs to sign a top class centre-half - they can score goals but they are always going to give their opponents opporunities to score.

Meanwhile Chelsea was beaten by a little club called Shakhtar Donetsk by 2-1and they could be the first Champions League holders to be knocked out in the group stage.

For those of you who like a little wager I will be having a little bet on Porto (4/7) and Blackburn (evens) tonight.  Yesterday's double came up so I hope that a few of you were on and we can repeat the dose tonight!
