There is a busy day of racing ahead with no less than five meetings taking place - three on the flat from York, Salisbury and Newmarket and a couple of jumps fixtures from Perth and Fontwell. Tom Scudamore makes the long trip north to ride Street Entertainer (pictured above) for the stable at Perth. Our runner finished a good third last time out at Ayr and competes from the same mark of 122 so he looks to have solid claims once again. The imponderable is the ground which is officially described as soft - he has only ever won on good ground, so it will be interesting to see how he gets on.

This afternoon there are five meetings taking place with flat action from York, Newcastle and Bath as well as jumps fixtures from Kempton and Perth. The prize money at a couple of meetings today is truly awful...step forward Newcastle who offer just £34,000 for their eight race card, while Kempton get away with just £30,000 for their jumps meeting. The stable has no runners today with the defection of Impulsive American on the flat at Bath. Stable jockey Tom Scudamore travels to Kempton for one ride, while championship leader Richard Johnson goes all the way to Perth for three rides for Gordon Elliott. Johnson is really setting his stall out early and is four ahead at the top of the table - the 11/8 about him winning his maiden championship is beginning to look good.

This afternoon there are five meetings taking place with jumping from Sedgefield, Wincanton and Southwell as well as flat fixtures from Beverley and Chelmsford City. The stable runs Lough Derg Cruise in the bumper at Sedgefield and conditional jockey Michael Heard is in the saddle. She has finished runner up in three Irish point-to-point's and Michael claims a handy 7lbs off our mare's back. Meanwhile stable jockey Tom Scudamore is at Wincanton where he rides All Force Majeure (pictured above) for the Pond House team. Our bumper winner steps up in trip this afternoon which should suit him well - he carries top weight in this tight little handicap. Tom then races off to Southwell for one ride - it is all go for the main protagonists having a crack at the jockeys championship as they search the length and breadth of the country for winners.

This afternoon there are five meetings taking place with flat cards from Doncaster, Musselburgh, Wolverhampton and Windsor and a jumps fixture from Towcester. The stable has three runners at Towcester; Susie Sheep, Lady Of Longstone and The Bank Manager. Susie Sheep won an English point-to-point so this 2m5f trip should suit her well, while Lady Of Longstone has some fair placed form and with amateur jockey David Noonan taking 7lbs off her back she should run a big race - the Post make her a 9/2 chance. Our other runner has a great name - The Bank Manager is a full-brother to The Liquidator and he makes his debut for the stable this evening. We should know a lot more about him after tonight.

There are just two meetings taking place this afternoon and they are both jumping fixtures with action from Ludlow and Plumpton. The stable runs My Brother Sylvest in the 2m handicap chase at Ludlow and he will be partnered by Tom Scudamore. Although he carries top weight of 11-12, he finished runner-up at Kempton on Monday and is due another hike in the weights for that. This is a competitive race, as you would expect considering there is almost £13,000 on offer to the winner. Meanwhile Conor O'Farrell travels to Plumpton for the mount aboard Pilgrim's Bay. Pilgrim's Bay was a naughty boy last time at Ffos Las, looking the most likely winner of his bumper until twice downing tools in the straight and finishing a close third. Hopefully Conor will convince him to behave today - he clearly has plenty of ability, let's hope that he uses it!

There are seven meetings taking place this afternoon with four flat cards from Lingfield, Ascot, Nottingham and Thirsk as well as jumps fixtures from Hexham and Warwick and of course a quality mixed card from Haydock. It is Swinton Hurdle day at Haydock and the stable runs Serienschock, Alternatif, Rathealy and Ainsi Fideles at the meeting, while Willem and It'll Be Grand go at Warwick. I must admit that I thought Alternatif (pictured above) would go well in the Long Distance handicap hurdle, although my enthusiasm was slightly tempered when the Racing Post correspondent plumped for our other runner Serienschock. They say you should never change your mind so I will stick to my guns although I would be pleased if either of ours were successful.

It is a busy day with six meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action from Chester, Lingfield, Ascot, Ripon and Nottingham with a supporting jumps card from Market Rasen. The stable has one runner this afternoon, a gelding with a great name 'Prince Of Poets'. He was a winner of an all-weather bumper at Lingfield on his only previous start and he makes his debut for Pond House today. He has to concede a penalty to the remainder of the field and it could take a decent performance to win this with the powerful Hobbs and Henderson teams both fielding unraced types.
