It's a shame that Cheltenham is not this week with the stable in such good form, we recorded another double courtesy of Laflammedeglorie and Dream Esteem, while all eight of our runners on Saturday made it into the first four.  Laflammedeglorie received a good ride from Conor O'Farrell to score by four lengths at Chepstow.  He was runner-up behind subsequent Listed winner Shutthefrontdoor on his debut returned to that sort of form here -he is a great big horse and looks one to look forward to, especially when sent over fences.

Also at Chepstow, Dream Esteem won her first race of the season under champion jockey A P McCoy.  A P didn't really need to go for our ultra-consistent mare until approaching the last and she duly saw off favourite Charm School by 1 1/2 length to win at the rewarding odds of 6/1.  She had finished in the frame on several previous occasions but kept creeping up the weights, so this can probably be considered a personal best from her.

Consigliere stayed on to pick up some prizemoney for fourth in the valuable Racing Plus Chase, while well-backed Ashbrittle ran a sound race in defeat on his handicap debut over hurdles, finishing runner-up to Oscar Prairie.

The horse that really impressed me on Saturday was Baby Mix.  He put himself right back in the Triumph Hurdle picture with a decisive victory over well-touted Sadler's Risk and he looks sure to play a major part in the four year-old's championship at next month's Cheltenham Festival.

We were out of luck yesterday at Fontwell - Bamboleo finished third in the concluding bumper and looks as though he will want a trip over hurdles, while African Broadway was still in front when parting company with Tom Scudamore - here's hoping for some better luck today with our runners Le Chasse Spleen and On Khee at Plumpton.

What a great match at the Emirates Stadium yesterday between Arsenal and Spurs.  Spurs went 2-0 up and yet still managed to get beaten 5-2!  It was a really entertaining match, even though both defences looked fragile.  If Arsenal can sign a really good centre half and a hard midfielder they could be in the title mix next season judging by this performance.
