I am sorry to have to report that thier is no jumping action around the country today.  After Chepstow being called of yesterday, Catterick have been forced to abandoned this morning.  Things are also look decidedly bleak for the weekend as well.  We have just spoken to Sandown's clerk of the course, Andrew Cooper and they have had to abandoned their meeting for tomorrow.  Ffos Las and Wetherby's chances of racing are also hanging in the balance after temperature of lower than minus 5 at the Welsh track have meant frost has penetrated the covers.  Things are due to warm up a little but whether this thaw will come soon enough is anyone's guess.  Similar temepratures at Wetherby means they will be holding inspections to decide whether racing will take place this afternoon.  Meanwhile at Pond House temperatures weere still as low at -8c at 7.30am.  So a fair bit colder than yesterday and they are not forecast to get much above freezing throughout the day!  I am quite glad to be inside at this moment!  Let's just hope we do not get any of the snow that is forecast for over the weekend.

I have a couple more photos of the horses on the gallops.  The Pier was due to run at abandoned Sandown tomorrow so we will be looking for another race for him.  Recent runner up at Lingfield, The Tracey Shuffle is working upsides Fiulin.  He could run at Ffos Las tomorrow if the meeting gets the go ahead.

If you follow names or coincidences then you would have probably backed Harry's Yer Man at Wolverhampton yesterday.  The four year old was backed down to 11/2 from 14/1 although I am sure the Tottenham manager did not back his namesake as he has other things on his mind at the moment!  By the way Harry's Yer Man is actually named after the owner/breeders grandson and nothing to do with the football manager!  Talking about names I see that a horse called Leanne won the 2 1/2 mile chase at Clonmel yesterday (David's partners name is Leanne), I did not think she stayed 2 1/2 miles! Also in yesterdays action I could see why one of our former assistants Alistair Lidderdale put up seven pound claimer Leonna Mayor on his runner.  Not only is she a good jockey but she is cracking lookng as well, it must be hard to give her a telling off!

John Daly shot a round of 67 in the golf at the Qatar Masters.  Mind you, like Tiger Woods at the moment he cannot put four rounds of golf together!  This is what you must do obviuosly to win a championship, having said that these are two players I do love to watch.

At the moment in the cricket Packistan are not doing well and weer 22-5 at the time of writing.  Mind you England are having trouble with the bat as well at the moment so lets just hope they do not set us too big a target!
