Well, I feel like I have finally arrived...David Pipe's overseas corresponent - talk about racing journalism royalty!  I am currently over in France for a few days with friends enjoying a few days break and a bit of racing action - and I do literally feel like I have "finally" arrived...we took the overnight ferry and the sea was choppy to say the least!  It's just as well my long suffering wife remembered to pack my sea legs.  I don't like to rub things in, but while I understand it has been a little damp back home, we have been enjoying some glorious sunshine over here!

Anyway, over at rain-soaked Newton Abbot we have three runners - Businessmoney Judi, Mamlook and Goodnight Alfie.  Businessmoney Judi did well to win her first two starts since joining us and has had a little break since disappointing at Aintree - she will be ridden by Tom Scudamore.  Former Chester Cup winner Mamlook goes in the valuable Lord Mildmay handicap chase (a race David has won in the past with Star Of Germany) and he will also be partnered by Tom.  Finally, we have Goodnight Alfie goes in the boys' maiden hurdle and he will be ridden by leading conditional Conor O'Farrell.

It looks like being a busy week, with further entries at Hereford on Monday, Worcester on Wednesday and Bangor on Friday - check back here to keep up with the latest plans.

There is racing from Deauville this afternoon, Tuesday and Friday and we will be heading over for a function tomorrow - talk about a busman's holiday!...anyway, what else would I be doing?  I would either be extremely busy watching the racing on television or hitting a fall balls down the fairway!
Mange tout!
