The bright start to the season continued yesterday with a double at Worcester taking the stable's tally to 20.  d'Jango and Oceanline both won, whilst American Sniper also ran well to finish runner-up in the bumper.  d'Jango clearly likes Worcester - a winner there over timber over the same trip last time, he was a convincing winner of the 2m7f handicap chase yesterday, despite a somewhat unorthodox leap at the penultimate fence.  The winner of the French Grand National in his younger days, he is clearly thriving at present and looks capable of winning again under either code.  Oceanline (pictured above) was a ready winner of the 2m4f novices' hurdle on his first start for the yard, coming away nicely in the closing stages with a decent gap back to the third.  He looks a nice dual-purpose prospect for his owners, who all deserve some good fortune.

American Sniper again ran well to finish runner-up in his second bumper.  He looked to have learned plenty in coming well clear of the remainder, staying on very well.  Time may tell that he was beaten by a useful winner here and he looks more than capable of winning something similar, whilst he will be even better once sent over obstacles.

There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Ffos Las and Uttoxeter, flat fixtures from Pontefract and Brighton and all-weather action from Wolverhampton.  David has three runners today at Uttoxeter; Dindin, Kalma and Via Dolorosa.  Dindin contests the 2m handicap chase at 7.30pm.  He was a multiple winner in France, but has proven a bit disappointing to date, although he has dropped in the handicap as a result.  Blinkers are applied today and he is not without a chance if he puts his best foot forward.  Philip Armson takes 5lbs off his back.

Kalma makes her first start for the stable in the 2m4f mares' handicap hurdle at 8.00pm.  A winner on the flat and over timber, she certainly won't mind the prevailing underfoot conditions and if getting this longer trip, looks to hold solid each-way claims for the David Pipe Racing Club.  Tom Scudamore is in the saddle.

Our final runner is Via Dolorosa, who contests the 2m7½f handicap hurdle at 9.00pm.  A dual-winning chaser for us last season, he has finished second three times this term before disappointing last time.  He can run from a mark 16lbs lower than his chase rating over timber and has a good chance on that basis, with Philip Armson taking a further 5lbs off his back.

Britain's Cameron Norrie returns to action at Wimbledon today as he participates in the second match on court one.  He faces David Goffin in the quarter-final - the first time Norrie has reached this stage of a Grand Slam tournament.  With his opponent unseeded, he will be favourite and may never have a better chance to reach the semis.

England's cricketers look to have a good chance of securing victory on the last day of their test match against India as they need another 119 runs with seven wickets in hand.  Johnny Bairstow and Joe Root continue to look in imperious form and hopefully they can steer the team to victory this morning.
