The stable's good run of form continued with two winners and a second from our three runners at Huntingdon yesterday evening.  Awesomedude posted a good reappearance effort after almost twelve months off the track to bolt up in the 2m maiden hurdle under Tom Scudamore.  A multiple winner on the level, he acts well on good ground and looks capable of going on to better things over hurdles.  He was well bought by the Value Racing Club and should give the members plenty to shout about over the coming months.

Lady Reset completed doubles for David and Tom Scu by landing the 2m mares' handicap hurdle, although things did get quite tight in the end!  A mistake at the last certainly didn't aid her cause, but she found enough to hold on by a short head to claim her third win over timber.

Morgenstern finished runner-up in the novices' handicap chase, rallying from an unpromising position to pick up some decent prize money.

There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Southwell and Warwick, flat fixtures from Ayr and Yarmouth and all-weather action from Kempton.  David has two runners today; Cadeau d'Or at Warwick and Via Dolorosa at Southwell.  Cadeau d'Or contests the 2m3f maiden hurdle at 2.55pm.  A decent performer on the flat, he produced a good first effort over hurdles when third behind a couple of highly rated subsequent winners at Newton Abbot.  He should have learned plenty for that experience and he looks to have decent claims under Tom Scudamore.

Over at Southwell, Via Dolorosa runs in the 3m2f handicap chase at 5.15pm.  A dual winner over fences last term (including at this track), he remains 5lbs higher than his last winning mark, although he confirmed his wellbeing when runner-up last time out at Market Rasen.  He should go well once again with Philip Armson in the saddle.

David is currently up at the sales at Doncaster looking for the next equine superstar, so we would love to hear from you if you are interested in joining the ownership ranks.  He has traditionally done well at these sales, with all five purchases last year (including Sidi Ismael, Kingofthewest and Romain de Senam) winning subsequently, whilst he also picked up Main Fact in previous years here.

Liverpool ensured the Premiership is going down to the final game of the season by beating Southampton 2-1 away from home last night.  They need to win their final match against Wolves and hope that Manchester City lose or draw against Aston Villa to claim the title.

Meanwhile, Rangers are in action tonight as they face Eintracht Frankfurt in the final of the Europa League in Seville.  They have already done incredibly well to reach the final, so let's hope they can go on and win it.  This marks the first time a Scottish team have reached this stage of a major competition since they did it in 2008 in the UEFA Cup.
