There is just the one jumps meeting today and we have one runner, Vernon Subutex at Stratford.  He is making his British debut in the 4.22pm handicap chase over 2m6f with Philip Armson on board.  Our five year old has settled in well since coming over from France and he is the winner of seven races from 24 starts in his native country, three over hurdles and four over fences.  His last win was over hurdles at Fontainebleau in March and although the quicker ground is a bit of an unknow this afternoon we see no reason why he should not handle it and run okay.  There are only five runners in the race but it looks competitive and the Racing Post have Vernon at about 4/1 third best in the betting.  

There is only one flat meeting today as well up at Ripon while in Ireland they race on the flat at Naas and over hurdles at Killarney.  The big flat racing of the day is over in France at Longchamp where all the top British and Irish jockeys and trainers are in action.  

With a fairly quiet weekend on the runners front for the stable this weekend we have several entries throughout the coming days.  Mr Tambourine kicks the week off at Ffos Las tomorrow while Lady Reset runs at Huntingdon on Tuesday.  Keep checking back here for more news of runners throughout the week.  Meanwhile it is a busy week for David for another reason as he and Leanne are heading up to the sales at Doncaster.  While the young store horses are being sold on Monday and Tuesday we change to Horses in Training and Point to Pointers on Wednesday and Thursday.  There are nearly 500 lots on offer in this section of the sale and we will be looking to find a few new recruits to add to our team.  At this sale last year we purchased Romain De Senam, Kingofthewest, Seventeen O Four and Flammarion all of whom won races for us since.  All came at varying prices and in fact David purchased Main Fact from this sale for just £6,000 a few years ago as well, what a buy and what a bargain he has turned out to be.  If you are interest in getting involved with ownership at Pond House please do get in touch This email address is being protected from spambots. It is also a big afternoon in the Premiership football today with lots of games that will play a part in both ends of the table.  The first games of the day kicks off at 12 noon with Tottenham at home to Burnley with both needing crucial points for very different reasons while the majority of matches kick off at 2pm.  The late starting game is Everton at home to Brentford at 4.30pm.  Come this evening the Premiership table will be very interesting viewing.
