There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with a flat card from Newmarket, an all-weather flat fixture from Kempton and jumps cards from Worcester and Fontwell today.  David has two runners today; Mr Tambourine Man and Nabvutika, who both run at Worcester.  Mr Tambourine Man (pictured above, courtesy of Jon Partridge) contests the 2m4f Fixed Brush novices' handicap hurdle final at 3.58pm having finished runner-up in one of the qualifiers.  He is 2lbs higher today and this is tougher again, but he shouldn't mind the easing ground and looks to have each-way claims in an open race.  Tom Scudamore is in the saddle.

Our other runner is Nabvutika, who runs in the mares' novices hurdle at 4.33pm.  She has had just one run over hurdles to date, finishing unplaced at Exeter a couple of weeks ago.  She will need to improve to figure here and looks to have a stiff task.  Fergus Gillard rides.

We were out of luck yesterday at Exeter with Oneonechop and Story Of Friends failing to trouble the judge in the Devon fog.

It was a good night in Europe for the British clubs with Manchester City annihilating Bruges 5-1, whilst Liverpool did well to get the better of Atletico Madrid 3-2 away from home in an exciting game.  Manchester City jump Bruges in their group, whilst Liverpool are sitting pretty at the top of theirs having won all three of their matches.  Celtic were also victorious over Ferecvarosi in their Europa League match last night.

It is the turn of Manchester United tonight as they host Atalanta in Champions League action, whilst Leicester travel to Spartak Moscow tonight, desperate to get their challenge underway as the trail the group with just one point from their two games.
