The stable enjoyed the best possible start to the week yesterday when our only runner, Lady Reset (pictured above) won the 2m novices' handicap hurdle at Warwick under Tom Scudamore.  Always handy, she delivered her challenge in the straight and keeping on well, she showed trademark courage to see off all her rivals.  She has had a remarkable time of things this summer, winning three times on the flat and twice over hurdles.  She clearly loves the prevailing ground and is a thoroughly likeable and improving mare.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with a flat card from Beverley, a jumps fixture from Warwick and a couple of all-weather flat cards from Lingfield and Newcastle.

There are no runners from the Pond House team today, although we declare this morning at 10am if we are going to make the long journey up to Perth with runners on Thursday.

Don't forget, the first of our interviews with the staff went live yesterday starting with stable jockey Tom Scudamore.  To find out what he had to say, you can click on the image (courtesy of Fiona Crawford) below...

It is a bit of a quiet day on the sports front, although all of that is about to change this weekend when the Ryder Cup golf gets underway at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin this weekend.  The home side will be favourites again this time around, but they have only won the cup twice this century (in 2008 and 2016) and will be desperate to improve that record.

I tried to organize a professional Hide-and-Seek tournament, but it was a complete failure. Good players are hard to find.
