You may or may not realise if you are a daily reader of this blog that Sunday's offering is quite often written in advance so it is not always totally up-to-date with winners and the daily goings on.  I do apologise for this a little bit but David is kind and does let us have one day off a week!  On writing this I do hope that Eamon An Cnoic has run well at Taunton yesterday (fingers crossed I really hope so as I have always had a soft spot for this horse ever since he arrived!).  I also hope that racing goes ahead at both Hereford (3.00pm inspection Saturday afternoon) and Thurles (no idea if any inspection but there probably is!).  If they do that is great and we have nice action to watch, if not I am afraid we are just left with Lingfield on the all-weather to keep us entertained.  While I am not a great lover of the all-weather, it is good to have something to watch! We do not have any runners from Pond House today.

On Friday it was young Martha Pipe's 5th birthday and in the days (and weeks) leading up to the big day she was not going to let anyone forget the big occasion!  While disappointing she could not see her friends or have a party I think it is fair to say she had a very enjoyable day.  She watched first lot dressed as a princess and had a fish and chip and birthday cake tea!  With numerous presents and siblings Jack and Sophie to play with she certainly had a nice day!

I also forgot to write in yesterday's piece about our flat adventures on Friday.  Unfortunately our travels did not go quite as well as hoped but as feared the trip was perhaps slightly on the short side for both Ranco and Sans Logique and they do need to drop a few pounds in the handicap.  They both travelled well but as the pace quickened they were a little tapped for toe.  Hopefully the handicapper will give them some help and they may well have another spin on the level while we wait for the ground to improve before they return to hurdles.

Hmmm what else to write about... it is great the season is going well for Pond House and we particularly have to thank all of our owners.  We are all in difficult and strange times at the moment but without them we could not do what we do for which we are very grateful.  If anyone would like to get involved in ownership at Pond House we do have lots of different ways to get involved at varying levels, big or small.  We have some lovely young horses for sale in pre-training who we dream are future stars.  All are available at different budgets and are waiting to be given a name of your choice.  For further information have a look at the link below or more details or please do get in touch with the office directly: This email address is being protected from spambots. We also have syndicate options available and more information can be found at the link or above and we also have the David Pipe Racing Club.  A great fun low cost way to be involved at the yard.  For more information on joining the club please follow the link below and enjoy a lovely Sunday everyone.
