There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Carlisle, Ffos Las and Leicester.  David has one runner today as Paricolor contests the selling hurdle at Leicester at 1.28pm.  He was a comfortable winner over course and distance last time and has similar conditions underfoot today.  He looks sure to go well again and whilst he has a little to find at the weights, winning jockey Fergus Gillard takes 5lbs off his back.  Chef de Troupe looks to be the one to beat.

Meanwhile, across the Irish Sea there is an excellent card to look forward to at Fairyhouse.  With three Grade 1's and a Grade 3 on the menu, it's a real cracker with Cheltenham Festival heroes Envoi Allen and Honeysuckle amongst those in action.  It's just a shame that ITV aren't covering any of the action today.

There are three Premiership football matches to look forward to this afternoon, including a fascinating clash between Spurs and Chelsea who are currently first and third in the table respectively.  The match kicks off at 4.30pm and I am sure that Mourinho will badly want to beat Chelsea.  Ashley Farrant is an ardent Spurs fan, whilst David follows the blues...someone is going to be disappointed tomorrow!

Talking of disappointment, I will be watching the Vikings tonight as they take on the Carolina Panthers tonight.  The Vikes looked to be on a roll before losing a winnable game against Dallas (who flopped badly in midweek) last weekend.  They need to win against the Panthers if they are going to have any prospect of making the post-season.

The Bahrain Grand Prix takes place this afternoon and will more than likely be another long victory parade for Lewis Hamilton.

There was a dingy start to the day on the gallops yesterday.  I tried to catch some fog...I mist!
