There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Ayr, Bangor and Exeter, whilst there is an all-weather flat meeting from Kempton.  David has four runners at Exeter today; Nobel Joshua, Mr Clarkson, Eden du Houx and Yaa Salaam.  Nobel Joshua contests the 2m7f conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle at 12.55pm.  A winner on his penultimate start in Ireland, he made a pleasing debut for the stable when fourth at Huntingdon, staying on well in the closing stages.  This stiffer track should suit and he looks to have solid each-way claims with Fergus Gillard taking 6lbs off his back.

Mr Clarkson and Eden du Houx contest the 3m novices' handicap chase at 2.36pm.  Mr Clarkson has been a great horse for us, winning five times over timber.  He has had a couple of runs over fences but remains 4lbs higher than his last winning mark over timber which would suggest that he has a tough task here.  He has had a wind operation since his last start, he jumps well, stays and will like the ground and could outrun his odds under David Noonan.  Our other runner in the race is Eden du Houx.  He was a good bumper and hurdle winner and the form of his final race last season is looking like very good form.  He jumped and travelled well for a long way on his seasonal reappearance/chasing debut at Uttoxeter last month and is entitled to improve on that.  Tom Scudamore is in the saddle and he looks to have solid each-way claims.

Yaa Salaam is our final runner and he contests the 2m1f handicap hurdle at 3.41pm.  He has some solid placed form to his name and is 2lbs lower than when beaten only a length at Kempton in February, a repeat of which would give him a chance.  He has been below par of late however and would need to improve on his most recent efforts to figure.  Fergus Gillard is in the saddle and takes 7lbs off his back.

To Fly Free fared best of our Hereford pair yesterday, finishing fourth in the 2m handicap hurdle.  She ran a perfectly respectable race, but the rain softened ground was just a little too testing for her.

It's not really a sport that appeals much to me, but a number of the staff are keen golfers and no doubt they will be tuning in when the Masters gets underway at August tomorrow.  Full coverage will be on Sky Sports.
