Catterick Flat Runner

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat cards from Catterick and Southwell and a couple of jumps fixtures from Bangor and Chepstow.  The stable has one runner today as the incredible Main Fact bids for his seventh straight victory.  He was really progressive over hurdles last season, winning five on the bounce and looked like a well-handicapped horse when winning easily last week when reverted to the flat at Newbury.  He escapes a penalty for that success and is due to go up by 7lbs in future handicaps so looks sure to take plenty of beating again today in the hands of Ben Curtis.  The ground is currently soft and any further rain can only aid his chances.

We will be back over the sticks tomorrow with runners at Fakenham and Taunton.

Spurs managed to beat Burnley 1-0 away from home last night to climb the Premiership table, whilst Brighton and West Brom fought out a 1-1 draw.  There is no Premiership action tonight, although a couple of English sides are involved in Champions League action tonight.  Liverpool host FC Midtjylland whilst Manchester City face a tougher task as they travel to face Marseille.
