Logique's Hurdles Debut

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action from Beverley, Chelmsford City and Lingfield as well as a jumps card from Sedgefield.  David has one runner this afternoon as Sans Logique makes his debut for the stable after he was purchased recently from France.  He showed some decent form on the level over there, winning at Marseille before finishing runner-up at Vichy last time out behind a horse that has won again subsequently.  He has been schooled intensively since arriving and he jumps nicely - there are a couple in the line-up with previous hurdling form but if he takes to this new discipline Sans Logique looks sure to go well under Tom Scudamore.

The Tattersalls Newmarket sales have been taking place this week and David secured another good looking recruit yesterday.  Iron Heart is a dual flat-winning three year old who looks sure to make up into a nice hurdler.  A winner over 1m4f at Salisbury a fortnight ago, he looks an exciting prospect and extremely good value, especially considering the prices some of the other lots were making.  Do get in touch if you would like to become a part of the Pond House ownership experience.

I see that provisional plans have been approved to host city racing in Cannes in France as early as next year.  The idea is to create a 'pop-up' racecourse in urban locations making the sport more accessible to a potential new audience.  The proposed course will start on the beach and finish near the Cannes Film Festival head quarters.

Did you hear about the man who was running late for an important meeting?  He couldn't find a parking space anywhere. In desperation, he began to pray.
