         Golden Jeffrey runs at Chepstow

Firstly, apologies for the problems with our website today.  We have has some technical issues but thankfully we are back up and running now.  Today we have one runner at Chepstow, Golden Jeffrey runs in the 4.50pm, two mile handicap on the flat and Rossa Ryan rides.  He ran better than his finishing position suggests last time at Sandown.  In a slowly run race he was outpaced as they quickened up in the straight but Rossa felt he galloped all the way to the line.  He dropped in the handicap slightly for this and the extra two furlongs is another bonus today.  He is a multiple winner on the flat and over hurdles and he is a good each way price today and we are hopeful he can run well.

After today the next stable runners could be at Southwell on Tuesday.  There has been a little break from the jumps racing in the last week and it was due to return at Newton Abbot on Wednesday but due to demand they have put on an extra fixture at Southwell.  The stable has five entries which are Mrs Miggins, Malangen, Huccaby, Collingwood Court and Le Grand Rocher.  A lot will depend on the weather and ground conditions so check back here on Monday for more news of the stable runners over jumps in the coming days.

It is a big sporting weekend this weekend.  We have the last day of Glorious Goodwood today along with action from Newmarket, Chepstow and Hamilton plus racing in Ireland at Galway and Kilbeggan.  We have the British Grand Prix at Silverstone taking place this weekend and this afternoon we have at FA Cup Final from Wembley where Arsenal takes on Chelsea as well.  David and son Jack are keen Chelsea supporters so they will be cheering on their team later!  Arsenal have been playing well of late and anything can happen in a Cup final but my vote for the winner goes to Chelsea, especially after they beat my team in the semi-finals, Manchester United!

Have a good day everyone and enjoy all the sporting action.
