After a cracking day of racing yesterday featuring Trials Day at Cheltenham, it is very much back down to earth with a bang today.  There are just two meetings taking place today with jumps cards from Sedgefield and Fontwell.  There are no runners from the Pond House team today and stable jockeys Tom Scudamore and David Noonan also have time for a bit of r&r as they do not have any booked mounts.

As usual, the best card on a Sunday comes from Ireland where there is a Grade 3 hurdle and Grade 3 novices' chase on the menu at Naas.  I don't understand why there are not more prestigious cards on the calendar on this side of the Irish Sea when most people can get to the courses.

There is only a week to go until the Superbowl over in America and I am very much looking forward to that one.  In the meantime, the Pro Bowl takes place tonight, featuring players that have been voted there by the fans of the sport.  It is supposed to be an all-star line-up, although looking at some of the selections, you can see the fans have voted with their hearts rather than their heads.  Still, it presents an opportunity to see some of my Vikings favourites one last time before the end of the season!

I have heard rumour that Chanel is bringing out a new scent, but it is just aroma!  Have a great weekend...
