Today there are two meetings at Kelso and Uttoxeter but don't forget there is also just a small meeting in Paris!  All eye's will be on Enable in the hope that she can win her third Arc.  She is following exactly the same pre-race routine as she has the past two years and spent the night in Chantilly last night.  They tell me there were more spectators than normal watching her final piece of work on Warren Hill gallops before she left for France.  All sports need stars and Enable is certainly one of those.  I shall be tuning into watch Longchamp this afternoon and I really hope she can land the hat-trick, there will be some atmosphere and it would be great for racing.

I have been looking through the English cards and see that Nigel Twiston-Davies sends one runner to Kelso.  Ballyhill runs in the 3.20pm.  I always follow trainers who travel, especially with just one horse so he looks to have a good chance.

It is great this week that we see the return of jumps action at two West-country tracks, Wincanton and Exeter.  David has entries at both so keep checking back here daily for more news of the stable runners.

There are four Premier League football matches today, Arsenal play Bournemouth and at 4/9 the Gunners are for me.  There is also Man City versus Wolves, Newcastle versus Man Utd and Southampton versus Chelsea.  Man United are 10/11 which looks a price to me or have they deteriorated that much? Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants the United fans to forget about the glory days of the 1990's but to be honest I think the fans would have forgotten about those days as they were so long ago!  To me Manchester United are currently an average middle of the table team.  They have spent a lot of money but still nee a striker.  Spurs are also another team struggling and it seems to me the problems come from within the dressing room.  Both clubs need to pull their socks up.  Chelsea are also 10/11 for theirgame which looks good to me.  It is going to be another busy day in front of the Box!
