       Stream Lady runs at Uttoxeter

Today there are six meetings, flat cards at Doncaster, Thirsk, Newmarket and Newbury plus jumps cards at Uttoxeter and Bangor.  David has two runners this evening at Uttoxeter.  Stream Lady runs in the 7.50pm mares handicap hurdle over 2m7f.  Our six year old won over three miles at Plumpton last time, carrying 12st to beat The Tin Miner by 3.5 lengths.  This looks a better race but we expect her to go well and Tom Scu is on board.  Ourmullion runs in the 8.50pm 2 miles novice handicap hurdle.  He was third at Market Rasen last time and if he puts his best foot forward he will be there abouts again with Tom Scu in the saddle.

Van Gogh Du Granit ran well and finished second at Aintree last night.  He made a terrible mistake at the open ditch and David Noonan did well to stay on board after losing an iron.  In the end he did very well to finish second and it was a very good effort.  It was also another good run from Three Star General to finish third.  He has now been placed in 5 of his last six runs, surely his turn is near.

I see that there are a couple of birthday's today.  David Roberts is 61 today and he is the manager of Wolverhampton racecourse.  I knew him from my days at Pontins.  It is also Nathaniel Parker's birthday.  The actor took the mickey out of me one time in our Cheltenham marquee.  It says he is 57 but I think he looks a lot older!

It is FA Cup final day and Man City are 9/2 on to beat Watford so according to the bookies it is going to be a one sided final.  It is on the TV with kick off at 5pm.

At least Rory McIlroy has made the cut in the USPGA Championship Golf.  He made the cut with 4 birdies in the last 6 holes to finish with a round of 71.  It is a shame he could not play like that all the way round.  One of my bets is Dustin Johnson and he shot a round of 67 which took him to 4 under.  I see John Daly was playing in his usually bright coloured trousers.  He is allowed to drive around the course in a buggy and he is trying to get permission to be able to use one when he comes over to Portrush.

How can you tell when a lawyer is lying?  His lips are moving!  Have a nice day!
