Today there are five meetings, jumps cards at Perth, Chepstow and Bangor plus two flat cards at Sandown and Doncaster.  David has two runners at Chepstow this evening.  Midnight Magic runs in the first race at 4.50pm, a 3m2f handicap chase.  He was running okay at Exeter last time when a bad mistake cost him any chance but he would have to improve to figure here.  David Noonan is on board once again.  Delface run in the last race at 8pm, a 2mile handicap hurdle.  He has been placed and run well on his last three runs and should be there abouts again.  Ideally he would prefer the ground much softer but he would have a chance under Tom Scudamore.

Jacbequick finished second at Kempton to Tidal Watch trying to give five pounds away.  He did perhaps not jump as quickly as he can over the last three hurdles and he should be able to win off his rating of 114.  At Warwick Induno ran a cracker to finish second in the bumper on his first ever run.  He and the eventual winner had a right battle up the straight and with the that one having had the benefit of having run in and Irish point to point this probably told in the end.  He  made £150,000 when he passed through the sales ring as well so he was obviously held in high regard.  With this experience behind him our boy should be winning soon.

I would like to wish Ron Atkins a very happy birthday for today, he is 76.  Ron used to ride for us with a big RA on his hat.  He comes into our Cheltenham marquee every year and he hasn't changed a bit over the years.

I see the Manchester United fans think that manager Ole Gunnar Solsjkjaer cannot handle Paul Pogba and Pogba is tearing the United dressing room apart.  I think the players agent is in talks about a possible transfer.  Liverpool play Huddersfield tonight and you can back Huddersfield at 45/1.  I think I will just watch Masters champion Tiger Woods who is teeing up in Japan for the first time since 2006.  I wonder what his appearance is money is?

I think Raheem Sterling should be named footballer of the year.  I think he has really improved as a player and a person this season.  He would be a worthy winner in my eyes if he is named football writers footballer of the year.

Do you know what the two pessimists did when they first met?  They shook there heads!!  Have a good day.
