      Stream Lady Winner at Plumpton

Today we have five meetings, jumps cards at Ludlow and Sedgefield plus flat cards at Yarmouth, Lingfield and Wolverhampton.  David does not have any runners today but Tom Scu goes to Ludlow for one ride.  That one ride today could be a winner as Master Burbridge looks to have a good chance in the 3.25pm race.  It was a good Easter Monday for our two runners as Stream Lady won at Plumpton in good style and Picture Painter was a very close second.  The first time blinkers seemed to do the trick and she beat the well backed favourite The Tin Miner by 3.5 lengths.  The step up in trip also seemed to help and now she has got her head in front hopefully she can go on and win again.  At Plumpton they had best turned out awards in every race including the last which was a walkover, I have never heard of that before!

I thought David Noonan gave Picture Painter a good ride to finish second at Chepstow and was beaten less than a length.  He does not look straight forward.  At 2 out I thought he was going to win, but then he made a mistake and did not run in a straight line.  This was a big improvement in form in the first time visor and he can certainly win off his mark of 107.

Willie Mullins had his first ever Irish Grand National winner yesterday, in fact he trained the first three home!  He is a great trainer and a nice man.

Spurs play Brighton at 7.45pm tonight and if you want to nick a few quid you should back Spurs at 4/11.  Chelsea drew at home last night, 2-2 with Burnley.  The Burnley keeper got booked for time wasting in the 32nd minute...he only had an hour to kill!

Surely boxer Amir Khan has enough money to be able to pack in the sport?!  He seems to get put on the floor too much for my liking.  I hope his wife can get him to quit as I am sure all these bangs to the head don't do you any good.

Robbie Fowler is going off the Australia to manage a football team, the Brisbane Roar.  He used to have horses here at Pond House and is a thoroughly nice bloke so I would like to wish him luck down under.

Tired apostrophes risk falling into a comma!!  Have a nice day.
