          Malangen - Hat-trick of Wins

It is a busy day with six meetings, four jumps cards at Plumpton, Fakenham, Chepstow and Huntingdon plus two flat cards at Redcar and Wolverhampton.  There is also the big meeting at Fairyhouse in Ireland with the Irish Grand National the feature on the card.  David has two runners today, one at Chepstow and one at Plumpton.  Picture Painter runs in the 2.00pm at Chepstow with David Noonan on board.  He has been rather disappointing of late but he is a winner on the flat and over hurdles and hopefully the application of a visor may help.  Stream Lady runs in the 4.45pm at Plumpton, a 3 mile handicap hurdle.  She has blinkers on for the first time and tackles 3 miles for the first time under rules.  She has won an Irish point to point so should stay.  Tom Scu rides and she needs to improve a bit on recent form to win this.

The yard's runners ran okay over the weekend.  Malangen was brilliant at Newton Abbot on Saturday and brought up his hat-trick.  He carried 11st 13lb to victory but David told the press the weight would not bother him as he carries regular work rider Ashley Farrant up the gallops every day!  He is a quickly improving four year old and he will continue to mix hurdles, the flat and may even go over fences later in the summer.

Our three runners at Haydock on Saturday ran okay without finishing in the frame.  It was very competitive racing.  Legal History ran a cracker at Plumpton yesterday in the Sussex Champion hurdle.  He is still only a four year old and showed good form against his elders.  He picked up over £9,000 in prize money.  He is another who will be mixing a campaign on the flat and over hurdles this summer.

Many congratulations to the Dan Skelton team on achieveing 200 winners this season yesterday.  Martin did it eight times and Dan is now only the second trainer ever to do this so it shows just how difficult it is.

The big race of the day is at Fairyhouse, the Irish Grand National.  30 runners take on the 3m5f and looking at the race, Whisperinthebreeze from the in form Mrs John Harrington.

There were good wins for Liverpool and Manchester City yesterday.  I watched the worst Man Utd team of all time lose 4-0 at Everton.  I think the United players think they are actually better than they are.  I would get rid of Pogba and the overweight striker Lukaku.  United are never closing people down or chasing back.  I think the manager needs to clear out about seven players and sort the attitude of the players out!  Have a good day.
