Legal History (pictured above) followed-up his easy Ascot win with another smooth success at Exeter yesterday under a penalty.  I couldn't believe that he was allowed to go off at even money (there was even a little bit of 6/4 available if you were quick enough), although it was a similar story with Eur Gone West last week who was also entitled to go off much shorter...not that I am complaining!  Legal History certainly seems to be improving at a rate of knots and I am sure David will have him out again shortly - he seems to love this better ground.  It is hard to believe that he is still a maiden on the flat with a handicap mark of 77 - I can see that changing this summer too.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with just one jumps card from Warwick supported by flat fixtures from Nottingham, Lingfield and Kempton...you can tell it is nearing the end of the jumps season can't you?  David has one runner this afternoon with Three Star General contesting the 3m2f handicap hurdle at Warwick at 4.20pm.  Our six year old has been in good form again this season, reaching the frame on numerous occasions without quite getting his head in front.  He was a good second over three miles at Newbury last time but is another 2lbs higher in the weights today.  The Post make him their 5/1 favourite and another big run is expected with Tom Scudamore in the saddle.

I see that it is Simon Nott's birthday today.  You will have seen Simon for many years working the bookies pitches with Jack Lynn around the West country tracks.  More recently he has been a published author and blogger and has also conducted some interesting interviews for Star Sports.  Many happy returns old man!

The big football match is between Manchester United and Barcelona and it is hard to believe that United are 3/1 despite being the home team.  I think United will play well but I don't think I will be getting financially involved.  I reckon the manager could still do with four new players.  I hope you followed me yesterday and backed both Spurs and Bristol City yesterday.

Talking of football, Bolton are in trouble as they have not paid their team's wages or pension contributions.  To make matters worse owner Ken Anderson and some family members are on holiday in Dubai and pictures they have posted on social media has further angered the fans and club employees.  I can't see this ending well.  Meanwhile, it looks as though Eden Hazard will be off to Real Madrid for £100 million...his two goals against West Ham putting his price up again!

The Masters golf starts tomorrow so you know where I will be.  Yes, unfortunately it will be the sofa rather than Augusta!  See if you can spot Sir Anthony McCoy whilst you are watching - he will be in the crowd there somewhere.

What do you give a cannibal that is late for dinner?  The cold shoulder!  Have a nice day...
