               Bryony Frost & Me!

The great news to wake up to this morning is that Cheltenham is on, racing goes ahead!  There is also racing at Huntingdon, Lingfield and Kempton.  There was talk that high winds could force the abandonment of today's card but thankfully that has not happened.  There is of course more great action to look forward to today and some particular favourites in Altior and Tiger Roll take to the stage. Not sure I will be backing them at prices of 4/9 and 11/10 but I think they will win.

The bookies were saved yesterday by Benie Des Dieux falling at the last in the Mares hurdle with the race in safe keeping.  Just think how many doubles and trebles that must have been messed up.  I must admit I did back one winner, A Plus Tard who won at 5/1.  It was a good ride from Rachel Blackmore.  The most disappointing runner was probably Apple's Jade who was beaten a long way from home.  There was a lot of rain before racing and although the ground did not look too bad the horses finished quite tired in a few of the races.  Officially the going was soft.

Our marquee was packed and I think a good day was enjoyed by all.  Matt Chapman popped in before racing to give us his tips and take the mickey out of me!  He did tip some winners believe it or not so thank you Matt!!  There were lots of familiar faces and former jockeys Ron Atkins and Jimmy Frost came to see us along with daughter Bryony.  Bryony has got a great personality and it was fun to chat with her.

AP was there presenting a trophy although trying to hide his black eye in the photos!!  The horse named after him, Champ runs today and I hope he wins.  If he happened to win then I think AP's son Archie will pick up the trophy!

Tonight's football is Bayern Munich versus Liverpool.  The betting looks too close to get involved.  Bayern are 19/20 and Liverpool are 22/23.  If Liverpool play at there best then it could be a bet on them.  Man City had some shooting practice last night.  My tennis bet from yesterday won but the match went on into the night, too late for me and I was in bed!

I wonder how Tiger Woods will play around Sawgrass?  The island hole is fantastic but it looks quite tricky playing off the back tees!  I think I would lose a lot of balls!!

Doctor Doctor something is praying on my mind...don't worry it will probably starve to death!  Have a great day and enjoy Cheltenham Day 2 everyone.
