There are just two jumps cards today at Huntingdon and Sedgefield.  Tom Scu goes up to Sedgefield for three rides of which a couple look to have good chances.  Over in Ireland there is racing at Leopardstown.  Gordon Elliott has nine runners and he looks a man to follow this afternoon.  If you like to follow jockey's tips then Sam Twiston-Davies has said that his Cheltenham Festival banker is Al Dancer.  He does look a very progressive horse who I have been very impressed with but over the years I have found jockey's to be very bad tipsters.  Time will tell!!

I see that Colin Tizzard went to market during the week and bought 49 beef cattle which give him a lot of pleasure.  I thought a Gold Cup winner would give him more pleasure!!

There are a lot of Cheltenham Festival preview evenings taking place at the moment and there are lots advertised in the Racing Post.  You would need to be rich to go to them all and I wonder how many different horses are tipped in total?  Racing is all about opinions.  I think a reporter should write them all down and then we could see who is the best tipster after me!

There is a great football derby today, Everton versus Liverpool at 4.15pm.  Liverpool at 8/13 looks a best as the Everton defence is not the best and Liverpool have got to score some goals.  Chelsea are away to managerless Fulham.  Chelsea are 11/20 so I am going to have a double with Liverpool.

In the boxing it looks like Jarrell Miller is really winding up Anthony Joshua.  Anthony has been quoted as saying that he will shoot himself in the head if he loses.  It is lucky because Joshua will not lose and I am sure all this banter is just a way of trying to sell more tickets.

In the Formula 1 Lewis Hamiton's car is recording times of 0.5 seconds slower than Vettels Ferrari.  It may not sound a lot but in F1 it is a long time!
