There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Exeter, Warwick and Catterick as well as flat cards from Lingfield and Chelmsford City.  It is going to be a busy day for the stable with five runners at Exeter today - Druide Premier, Poker Play, Stream Lady, Umbrigado and Aurillac.  Druide Premier contests the 2m7f handicap hurdle at 1.30pm.  Our six year old takes a step-up in trip for his handicap debut and a hood is applied for the first time.  Poker Play runs in the 2m7f handicap hurdle at 2.05pm and he has some decent placed form to his name although he would need to improve on his most recent outing.  Former Irish point winner Stream Lady goes in the mares' novices' hurdle at 2.40pm and she must be better than she has shown so far and could have each-way claims - there is a short-priced favourite in the race which makes ours an appealing price.  Umbrigado (pictured above) is unbeaten in both starts this season and he looks to have a solid chance in the NH novices' hurdle at 3.10pm at odds of around 6/1.  Our final runner is Aurillac, who contest the Devon National at 4.20pm.  He finished fourth behind Samuel Jackson last time but was staying on really well in the closing stages and looks sure to appreciate this marathon trip.  It would be no surprise to see him go well at odds of around 12/1.  Tom Scudamore is aboard all five of our runners today.

There was some money flying around at the Cheltenham Sales yesterday afternoon with the top lot making £410,000.  There were only 35 horses in the catalogue and of those, 25 were sold with the average price coming in at a smidge over £100,000!  You don't have to spend a king's ransom when it comes to buying horses and we have a winner for sale for a fraction of that price as well as shares in others...take a look at our horses for sale page for more details.

My beloved West Ham are on Sky Sports tonight as they play Fulham at 7.45pm.  I will be backing them at 17/20...surely the Hammers can beat Fulham?  Both London teams, Arsenal and Chelsea won 3-0 last night, whilst Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was fined £45,000 for having a go at the referee.  Just think, if they ever fined racehorse trainers that much they would go out of business...it just goes to show how much these managers are making.  They could even afford to go to Rick Stein's in Padstow!
