With no meetings in Britain or Ireland today we will turn our attention to Angers and Flamingo Park.  You maybe asking where are these places?!  Angers is a French jumps meeting and Flamingo Park hosts a flat card in America.  The ground is heavy at Angers and they tell me it is a track where front runners do well.  My French connection thinks the good thing at the meeting is Furay in the 11.25am with James Reveley on board.  I thought they might have tried to put on another fixture in Ireland today.  With so many horses over there I am sure they would have got plenty of runners and given us all something to watch!

Unfortunately overnight it has been confirmed there are four more cases of equine influenza.  This time they are all from Simon Crisford's yard in Newmarket.  I am not totally surprised to be honest as when you are testing as many horses as they are I thought the number could have been higher than it has been so far.  This of course does probably reduce the chance that racing will resume on Wednesday but we will keep our fingers crossed and see.  The BHA are due to announce later today as to when racing is likely to resume.

I see that Archie Watson had a winner at Cagnes-Sur-Mer yesterday and he picked up £24,000 in prize money.

I would like to wish Steve McManaman a very happy birthday for today.  Steve used to have a couple horses here at Pond House owned in partnership with Robbie Fowler.  They were pretty good ones, Seebald and Auetaler.

They tell me there are two broken pipes in the yard this morning...David and Jack who are both Chelsea supporters!!  They were beaten 6-0 by Man City yesterday and it looked like a champion hurdler taking on a selling plater!  I don't think Chelsea manager Sarri will be staying at Chelsea much longer.  The way he set his team up did not look like he had much of a clue.  Wolves play Newcastle tonight and at 7/10 Wolves look a bet to me.  Spurs won 3-1 against Leicester yesterday but Leicester had so many chances and missed a penalty.

I watched Dancing on Ice last night.  I think Gemma Collins must be the worst ice skater that has been on the programme and I am not sure how other people get voted out before her!

What do you get from sitting on the ice too long? Polaroids!!  Back to Gemma Collins!!
