Punchestown is the only racing on today and they are giving the ground as good/yielding.  Tom Scu has a couple of rides for Henry De Bromhead although they are fairly big prices but you never know!  I have been looking ahead to the entries for Wednesday just in case racing gets the green light to go ahead.  There are four meetings, jumps cards at Plumpton and Musselburgh and two on the flat.  David has a few entries at Plumpton should it be on.

I took a horse to America in 2001 when we had foot and mouth in Britain.  The horse was not allowed to touch the ground.  It got on and off the aeroplane straight from and to the lorry.  They had armed guards at the stables and you had to put a special suit on and were sprayed everytime you entered the yard.  It was an experience I will never forget.  Also it was a dry state so you could not even get a drink!

I see there were problems of a different kind at Cheltenham racecourse on Friday.  One of the roofs nearly caved in!  They are currently hosting the Coral World Grand Prix of snooker but TV coverage was delayed by 20 minutes as there was an issue with the roof caused by the heavy rain.  Luckily Cheltenham was not snookered and sorted the problem out quite quickly!

They tell me there is somegby match on this afternoon?!  England play France at 3pm.  If England play like they did against Ireland last week then France will be in trouble!

The big football game is Man City versus Chelsea at 4pm.  Spurs also play Leicester at 1.30pm so I have a busy afternoon ahead!  I will probably have a double with Man City 8/15 and Spurs at 7/10.

I might have thought the Irish would have put on some extra meetings in light of know racing in Britain but at the moment they have no plans to do this.

Grandad's been staring through the window ever since it started to snow.  If it get's any worse we may have to let him in!!  Have a nice day.
