There are just two meetings today, on the flat at Leicester and Windsor.  There is some good racing in Ireland as well which include a Group 1 at the Curragh.  There are six runners in the race and Aidan O'Brien has four of them!  Looking through the rest of the card there he only has two runners in all the other races but I suppose the Group races are the ones he wants to win most and he does have a lot of top horses.  I know that Mark Johnston has passed MCP's total of number of winners trained but MCP is still heading the list for jumps winners with 3930.  The next best jumps trainer is Nicky Henderson with 3001 but Henderson who says he is not finished yet!

It is amazing what drives different people to success and having more winners.  AP McCoy says it was his battle with Richard Johnson for 20 years that kept him wanting to win.  He said he got to the point after 3 or 4 years of thinking if I can beat Richard Johnson the I will beat everyone else!  You can listen to AP and Richard Johnson on Talk Sport tonight at 8pm.  It should be interesting.

I talked about Lester Piggott on my blog yesterday.  Further to that, he rode a winner for us in a seller at Windsor.  After that race on the way back in he said to me that we had to buy the horse back in as he has sold it!  You can only imagine how his brain was working overtime all the time!

There are some big games in the Premier League today.  My team West Ham are away to Liverpool.  I say my team, I am not sure how many of the players I will recognise!  We have bought so many players it is difficult to remember them all!  Everyone is tipping Liverpool to win the title this season so it will be a tough game for West Ham.  The other big match is Arsenal v Manchester City.  My bet today would be Southampton to beat Burnley at 10/11.

Jo Konta lost in the tennis Rogers Cup.  She said she was too tired after playing two matches in the same day.  Imagine if she had a proper job.
