The stable continues in good form with another winner yesterday at Fontwell.  Roi De Rose handled the very soft ground very well as it looked pretty desperate but he put up a great performance and looked to win with a bit in hand.  Our seven year old won three times in Switzerland on good ground but he really looked to relish conditions.  He jumped well and took it up at the second last under Tom Scu and came away to win comfortably.  It was fantastic for his Swiss owner and massive fan club he has over there.  As I mentioned yesterday he even has his own facebook page!

In the rest of yesterday's action on the all-weather at Lingfield I thought Ryan Clark gave Lord Theo a cracking ride to come out on top in a photo finish.  He would certainly be an apprentice I would use, especially in apprentice races.

It is Welsh National day at Chepstow and if you are going racing today, make sure you leave plenty of time to get in.  I can remember when myself and MCP had to abandon the car and walk the last three miles or so.  I say we, I was still walking when MCP came past me in the back of an open back lorry!  I am sure all the Valleys will be empty today as everyone makes their way towards Chepstow but by the end of the afternoon once the drinks have been flowing the singing will start!  Pond House has a good record in the race, having won it eight times over the years but unfortunately David does not have a runner in the big race today as Master Overseer got balloted out.  Maybe AP can win this race for the first time on well fancied Synchronised to bag the full house of Nationals?!  It really is a great meeting to be at.  David has two runners at the track, Consigliere and Our Father.  He has three runners at Sandown, Senses, I'msingingtheblues and Leo's Lucky Star and two at Wincanton, Sun Des Mottes and Arrayan.  It is a pretty busy day for the yard so check back here on Monday for news of how they all get on but there is lots of fantastic jump race action for us all to look forward to this afternoon.
