David has runners at both of the days jumps fixtures at Ffos Las and Market Rasen.  Standing Ovation makes his hurdling debut at the Welsh track in the 1.25pm race with Timmy Murphy in the saddle.  He was fourth on his only bumper runs last season and has also been placed in a point to point.  He has summered well and it will be interesting to see how he gets on this afternoon.  Weekend Millionair also runs at Ffos Las.  He was a nice winner at Wincanton last time out, he is very consistent and we are hoping he can follow up this afternoon with Tom Scu back on board.  David also sends two runners to Market Rasen.  My Brother Sylvest has his second run over fences with Conor O'Farrell on top.  He was a good third behind a useful sort on his chasing debut at Kempton last time and as long as they don't get too much rain then we hope he can build on the promise shown.  Basil Fawlty also has his second start for Pond House in the final race of the day, the conditional jockey's handicap hurdle.  Kieron Edgar rides and he looks to have a fair opportunity in this five runner contest.  Check back here tomorrow for all of the news of the weekend runners.

Today there are four meetings, one on the flat at Doncaster and three over the sticks at Sandown, Wincanton and Kelso.  David has one runner at Sandown and two at Wincanton.  There are two good races at Wincanton, the Elite hurdle worth £57,500 and the Badger Ales handicap chase worth £60,000.  Tamarinbleu and The Package are the stable representatives in the chase but both races have attracted a good class of runners.  Tamarinbleu is an old stable favourite and ran some good races last season. Young Tom Bellamy takes a valuable seven pounds off his back and he has been working well at home.  The Package is nine years old but has not had many races and just had the one run last season when he was a good fourth at the Cheltenham Festival.  Timmy Murphy rides and both of our runners have good each way chances.  Wings of Icarus is a sole runner at Sandown.  He is making his seasonal reappearance in a competitive conditional jockey's handicap hurdle with Kieron Edgar in the saddle.  Our five year old was a bumper winner last season and had a couple of runs over hurdles but it is quite a tough race this afternoon.  David has four runners tomorrow, two at Ffos Las and two at Market Rasen so check back here for more news in the morning.

There are four fixtures on today with three jumps cards at Musselburgh, Hexham and Fontwell hosting jumps cards, while Wolverhampton have an all-weather meeting under the floodlights this evening.  Once again, it is Musselburgh who offer the lion's share of the prize money with nearly £50,000 up for grabs this afternoon.  The stable doesn't have any runners today, although we are likely to have a fair few over the weekend.  Among those could be The Package (pictured above) who has an engagement in the Badger Ales Chase at Wincanton

How unlucky was Bladoun at Chepstow yesterday afternoon?  Our grey son of Smadoun had made every yard of the running and had jumped well on his hurdling debut until he stepped and fell at the last flight while looking the likeliest winner.  With the odds-on favourite beaten at the time of our departure, I am sure that Bladoun would have gone on to win but at least he got up following what looked a nasty tumble.  So long as his confidence is not affected I am sure that compensation awaits and he looks to be a nice recruit for stable sponsors Wayne and Sarah Clifford of Bathwick Tyres.

Today there are four meetings taking place - two on the flat at Nottingham and Kempton as well as two jumps fixtures at Warwick and Chepstow.  We send a couple of runners accross the Severn Bridge to compete at Chepstow where the ground is officially heavy.  Bladoun, who had some useful form when reaching the frame in all three of his bumper starts makes his hurdling debut this afternoon, while Royal Mile (pictured above) bids to follow-up his impressive debut success on this course for the stable in the three mile handicap chase - Tom Scudamore rides them both.

Despite not attracting huge fields it looks like a high quality card at our local track Exeter this afternoon with the feature being the Haldon Gold Cup Limited Handicap Chase.  I would suggest that if you are going along to the Devon track you should get dressed up in something warm - there was quite a frost at the yard this morning and it is very exposed at the top of Telegraph Hill.  The stable has two runners this afternoon - E Street Boy who makes his chasing debut following a layoff and staying chaser Shaking Hands (pictured above) who returns to timber for the handicap hurdle.  Tom Scudamore rides them both.

There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with two of them over the sticks at Kempton and Plumpton as well as a flat card on the all weather at Wolverhampton.  The stable has a couple of runners at Kempton - bumper winner Barney Cool and useful flat stayer Beyond (pictured above).  Both of them can boast some good form, although they might both appreciate a sounder surface than they are going to get this afternoon.  The stable runners at Ascot on Saturday ran with credit in red-hot races - War Singer was only just run out of third place close home while Street Entertainer stayed on very strongly into fifth in the handicap hurdle, both of them picking up some prize money.
