It was a good day for the stable again yesterday with an across the card double at Sandown and Exeter.  Tanerko Emery got up to win by half a length at Sandown.  Conor O'Farrell gave our winner a very confident ride and he looks sure to be able to win again.  He has now won two of his three starts since joining Pond House, while also finsihing runner up at Cheltenham in a competitive race.  He is a horse to look forward to for the rest of the season and it was great to get another winner for his owners, Walters Plant Hire Ltd.  Home Run won the first race at Exeter and gave young Sam Welton his first winner for David his second career winner.  It was only a moderate race but he should be able to win again if kept to this sort of grade.  He is entered for Taunton next week and could turn out there has he escapes a penalty for winning yesterday.  Sam joined our team back in August and was having only his second ride for the stable so it was great to see him get off the mark.  He did pick up a three day ban from the stewards but he gave our four year old a nice ride and hopefully there should be more to come!

Today there are three meetings taking place - two over the jumps at Sandown and Exeter as well as an all-weather flat card at Lingfield.  The stable has two runners at Sandown - Starlife who will be partnered by young Kieron Edgar who takes a handy 10lbs off her back and Tanerko Emery (pictured above) who will be ridden by Conor O'Farrell.  Meanwhile, we will be busy at Exeter where we have five runners - Kilrye, Home Run, Shaking Hands, Diamond Life and Storm Lantern.  The stable has been in good form, especially our bumper horses so let's hope that newcomer Storm Lantern can maintain the trend on his first start for the yard.

Well, it was certainly cold last night with the thermometer in Brixham reaching -6°c and as you can see from the photograph above, it wasn't much warmer in Nicholashayne. Hopefully it has been a little warmer further up the country - there are inspections planned for all three jumps meetings today, although Market Rasen has already fallen foul of the freezing temperatures.  Prospects at WIncanton and Leicester are not looking good either and further inspections are likely to take place a little later to see if temperatures have lifted and started to thaw the tracks out.  It is looking like a blank day for the yard as we were due to have runners at both Market Rasen and Wincanton.  Unsurprisingly the only track that has been given the go-ahead so far is the all-weather meeting at Lingfield.

There is already good news this morning as Catterick have inspected earlier than intended and have given the green light for the jumps action to go ahead this afternoon.  There is also a National Hunt fixture at Hereford as well as flat action on the all-weather at Lingfield and Kempton.  The stable has a couple of runners - Oddjob who makes his chasing debut at Hereford after a layoff of just shy of 700 days and The Pier (pictured above) who is having his first start on the level at Lingfield since joining the Pond House team.

Today there are three meetings taking place, two over the sticks at Folkestone and Towcester as well as an all-weather flat card at Wolverhampton.  The stable has one runner this afternoon at Towcester, High Ville who makes his debut for the yard when participating in the bumper.  The six year old finished runner-up in a couple of bumpers for previous connections and he sets a decent standard for the others to aim at.  Conor O'Farrell takes the ride.  Hopefully he will be able to carry on the good form of the yard after Kings Palace's success in the bumper at Plumpton yesterday (pictured above).

There are three meetings taking place this afternoon - two on the all-weather at Wolverhampton and Kempton as well as a jumps card at Plumpton.  The stable has one runner, Kings Palace at Plumpton.  The four year old son of King's Theatre makes his racecourse debut in the concluding bumper and he will be partnered by champion jockey A P McCoy who makes a fair replacement(!) for Timmy Murphy and Tom Scudamore.

There are three meetings this afternoon at Carlisle, Leicester and an all-weather bumper card at Kempton.  Just imagine, six race full of bumper horses - I am surprised there are that many National Hunt flat horses in training!  Of course, I am only joking...a few of these races have special conditions to allow for horses that have been over hurdles/fences in the past (who would otherwise be ineligible) to compete.  We have one runner this afternoon at Leicester, Top Wood (pictured above) who bids to bounce back from a disappointing performance at Cheltenham last time out when he just ran to freely.  Hadden Frost, who won aboard the stable's Weather Babe at Towcester yesterday takes the mount.
