  What a Moment....Winner at Towcester

What a judge Ashley Farrant is, he told me What a Moment was a really nice type of horse and was great to see him win the bumper at Towcester on his Pond House debut.  Our five year old stayed on really nicely up the hill on pretty desperate ground and he looks a right stayer in the making.  He has already finished second in a Irish point to point so he can jump and he is very much one to look forward to.  Meanwhile at Wincanton our runners were a bit disappointing but it was atrocious conditions so fingers crossed we can put a line through these runs and we will see better from these horses next time.  Horses tend to either handle conditions or not and unfortunately ours did not appear to yesterday.  I did see the strangest race ever at Wincanton yesterday though, the bumper.  A horse called See the World hungs so badly left of the last bend he went right off the track and gave about 100 yards away yet still got up to win.  He must have been about a million to one in running!  He is also well named, See the World, that is what he did yesterday!  It was also great at Wincanton as an owner of ours, Geoff Thompson had a winner.  Coombe Hill is 14 years young and ran as well as ever to win the hunterchase under Darren Edwards, well done Geoff!

Today we have good news in the fact that racing at Chepstow goes ahead after passing a 7.30am inspection.  Catterick however has unfortunately been abandoned.  There are also two all-weather flat cards at Lingfield and Wolverhampton.  David has two runners at Chepstow, Sail By The Sea runs in the 1.50pm novice chase and Qalinas in the 3.30pm handicap hurdle.  Sail By The Sea is a 1/7 chance in the Racing Post so hopefully our Arkle entry can handle the bottomless going and have a nice clear round and win!  Tom Scu rides him while Michael Heard gets the leg up on Qalinas.  He is looking to bounce back to some sort of form after returning from an absence but he shouldn't mind conditions.

In the golf World I think the domination of Tiger Woods is definitely over.  He is playing in Phoenix at the moment and is nine shots off the lead.  He bogied the first four holes...mind you his teeth look very white!

How can Diego Costa fight the FA charge he is facing?  He is guilty of standing on Liverpool player Emre Can.  Whoever is advising him must be a plonker!  He is a great footballer but does he remind anyone else of a former Liverpool forward?

Andy Murray is only 7/4 to win his third Grand Slam, mind you Novak Djokovic remains best priced 1/4.  I always think you judge your form against Djokovic, we will see if Murray has improved in the final!

40p a go public toilets have made £200,000 in a year at Leeds railway station - toilets must be well flushed!  Have a nice day.
