There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with three on the level from Doncaster, Newbury and Wolverhampton as well as a National Hunt fixture from Fakenham.  As per usual the jumps card offers twice as much prize money as the all-weather card from Wolverhampton but more surprisingly, £12,000 more than Newbury which is supposed to be a Grade One flat and jumps track.  The stable has one runner at Fakenham, Broadway Buffalo (pictured above) who participates in the novices' chase.  A clear round of jumping is the obvious priority, although if he performs anywhere near his hurdle mark of 141 he would be very difficult to beat.

Yesterday's runner Susie Sheep finished fourth in the bumper at Southwell and did not reproduce her point-to-point form - I would imagine she is considerably better than this bare form and is not one to write off.

One to note from yesterday was Camachoice who won by 22 lengths from a mark of 105 - connections must surely be looking to run him again quickly under a penalty as the handicapper is sure to have his say next week.

I see that jockeys Jamie Spencer and Ryan Moore are riding in a Group One race at Moonee Valley in Australia.  The race is covered on Attheraces and is worth almost £1million - it is hardly surprising that Moore has given up the unequal fight for the jockeys championship against Richard Hughes to concentrate on the big overseas prizes like this.

It hardly comes as a surprise, but Liverpool could be getting rid of Mario Balotelli.  Just one goal in ten games is not the return they were expecting for their investment.  I have been telling anyone who will listen that he is trouble and is nowhere near the class of bad boy Luis Suarez.

Why is it that managers cannot say what they think about how a referee conducts a game.  The ref is not always right and he never gets fined for a wrong decision.  It is about time that they brought cameras into play - it works in countless other sports, so I see no reason why it can't be adopted to football.

Talking of football, I will be having a few quid on Fulham at 17/10 to beat Charlton this evening - they appear to have improved a little of late and rate a fair bet.  The match is live on Sky at 7.45pm.

Finally, I see that Katie Price aka Jordan is selling her boobs...well, the implants anyway!  She is auctioning the silicone swellings to raise funds for breast cancer awareness charities - an excellent cause and something to get your hands on!
