Covered Ride
|
It has several layers of woodchip and bark on top of a brilliant drainage system and is topped up with sand for the final surface. This area has proved excellent in all weather conditions and is used daily for walking, trotting and cantering so we love bad weather because even the deepest snow will not stop us from exercising our horses. In the centre of the oval we have a series of small obstacles, which we use to teach the young horses to jump. Our loose school is situated at one end of our covered ride and is used throughout the day. The horse's progress from our loose school into the centre of the ride over the small logs and barrels before they visit the schooling hurdles parallel to the gallop.
