 Sarah
Buckley was born on 27th February 1968 in Kilve, Somerset. Sarah has
worked for us since 1987 but had good training before she joined our
yard having worked for John Thorne, and with the horse Spartan
Missile.
Sarah married Eddie, our head lad in 1995 and they have three
children: Kieren, Tom, and Finn.
Sarah's favourite horse was Honest Word, although the best horse she
has ever looked after was Carvills Hill - Chester Barnes thinks he
is probably the best we have ever trained. Sarah's best moment in
racing was when she went to America with Regal Ambition. Having
flown to New York they spent thirty-six hours on a horsebox to
Kentucky, and although the horse was unplaced they had a good time
and were well looked after by the Americans.
Sarah enjoys shopping in her spare time and holidaying to her
father's villa in Spain.
