Elizabeth Knowles

Liz has been involved with horses all her life although there is no family connection to the racing industry.  She joined the team at Pond House in 2001 having previously worked for Rod Millman in Cullompton.  Liz has also worked with show jumpers at both ends of the country having been based in both Scotland and Plymouth.

She really enjoys working in the racing industry and loves the fact that you have the opportunity to meet so many different people.  She says that the best horse she has ever looked after is Celestial Gold and one of the best moments for her so far in racing is when her favourite horse Vodka Bleu came second in the Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase at Cheltenham and then had a run in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury.  Her favourite horse of all time is Anatar.

She plans to continue working with racehorses and would also like to have a show jumper for competing with during the summer months when the National Hunt season quietens down.

Elisabeth is a great girl to have around the yard.  She has a permanent smile on her face and has a mischievous streak!
