Danny has been
working as an amateur jockey at Pond House since September 2007.
He was born in Romford in 1983 and got into horses and racing just
by watching it on the television and gaining an interest in the
sport. Danny used to work for Crown Landscaping with his father
doing garden landscaping before going to work at Barry Leavy’s
racing yard.
Danny’s best times in racing was when he won on Stewarts Lad in a
photo finish to an odds on favourite and his two wins on Debbie when
he was a conditional jockey.
The best horses Danny has looked after are Wise King, from the Jim
Old’s team and Not Left Yet here at Pond House. His favourite horses
of all time are Persian Punch and Red Rum.
Danny lives with his partner Olivia and their Son Archie who was
born in 2006. He rode in 39 races when he was a conditional jockey
and had three wins, one on Stewarts Lad and two on Debbie. He has
also ridden in the Jewson Final where he finished 4th on Debbie. He
has ridden in 31 races whilst being an amateur.
Outside of racing Danny enjoys fishing and football and he supports
Arsenal. His plan for the future is to ride in and win as many races
as he can.
