 Charlotte,
known as Lottie, or Boo, started her association with
the Pipe team when working for David Pipe at his
point-to-point yard. David trained Lottie's horse,
Phoenix Phyler on whom she won 12 times in local point
to points and hunterchases. She rode out for David for
approximately five years when timed allowed. Lottie has
also ridden Freddie Muck, Seekin Cash and Burley Don
Carlos amongst others to win point to points. She has
also ridden under rules. Now Lottie rides out part time
at Pond House and is a valuable work rider.
When Tom Scudamore started his riding career Lottie
acted as his agent finding him rides all over the
country. Lottie juggled her life so that she was a
successful jockey's agent, was able to ride out and race
ride and also run her own catering business.
Tom and Lottie married at her family home, Hartland
Abbey, in North Devon in 2005. Their wedding appeared in
Hello! Magazine! They have two daughters Margo Rose who
was born in 2006 and Myrtle Beatrice born in May 2008.
They live just outside of Tiverton at Stoodleigh with
their two spaniels, William and Maggot. Lottie's father,
Sir Hugh Stucley has been made High Sheriff of Devon so
we are all trying to stay on her right side!
