Quiet Day

There is no jumps racing today, just three meetings all on the flat at Newmarket, Hamilton and Salisbury.  It is a cracking card at Newmarket and the big race is the 1000 Guineas.  There are 16 runners and Aiden O'Brien has three with Minding ridden by Ryan Moore the short priced favourite.  I was looking at the entry money for this race.  63 horses paid £2180, 24 paid £2480 and one paid £30,000 which adds up to quite a lot in entry fees!

Lewis Hamilton says his new Formula 1 new aeroscreen cockpit looks like a riot shield.  He says the screen looks so bad "you've got this cool elegant futuristic F1 car with a riot shield on top".  Maybe Lewis should stop partying and try and win a few races!

I think the Watford coach Quique Flores has done a fantastic job in keeping them in the Premiership this season.  They are now talking about him getting the sack which I find hard to believe.  Don't forget he even got them to the FA Cup semi-final and so what a season they have had.  I just wonder what the people are like that actually run some of these clubs, they seem clueless to me!  I could see Watford going down next season, especially if they get rid of their manager!  The big game today is Manchester United versus Leicester at 2.05pm.  It is still hard to believe that a Leicester win would see them as champions.  I think they will be champions but I think Man United at 11/10 will win this one.  I see that a lot of Arsenal fans protested against Arsene Wenger yesterday.  Wenger's reply was I built you the Emirates stadium.  Most of the fans would have preferred Premier League titles, FA Cups or European Championships!
